Raised in Florida, Julie began storytelling before she could even write, dictating tales to her parents and crafting illustrated books for classmates by kindergarten. While her drawing skills may have peaked early, her passion for writing never faded. After years of dreaming, she’s thrilled to finally call herself an author. When she’s not writing or working in her academic career, Julie can be found on the Gulf Coast of Florida with her husband, two wonderful children, and two beloved. She loves dessert, dislikes cold weather, and is always happiest with a good book in hand and a story in her heart.
