We have selected the name for the event that includes "Hernando County", which holds the distinction of being Florida’s largest blueberry-producing region. Hosting a Blueberry Festival here is not only agriculturally appropriate—it serves our broader mission to generate economic benefit and revitalize community engagement in a region that has lacked this kind of exposure and celebration in recent years due to a number of factors.
We are celebrating Blueberries for the WHOLE WEEKEND! 28 hours of great things to do, see, listen to, and enjoy!
Friday, May 8 – 5:00 PM to 11:00 PM
Saturday, May 9 – 9:00 AM to 11:00 PM
Sunday, May 10 – 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM
The timing of the Blueberry Festival was chosen with careful consideration. According to the Florida Blueberry Growers Association, the harvest season in Florida runs from late March through early May, depending on the region. By selecting a May date, we remain within the seasonal range, especially for value-added blueberry products like jams, wines, and desserts that remain in demand even after fresh harvests taper off.
Vendor fees have been established for participation in the entire festival. To allow ample time for planning, everyone has had a full year to prepare and manage their schedules. As a result, daily reservations and rates are not being offered.
Our first-come, first-served reservation policy is designed to create a balanced mix of vendors within each product category. Once a category is filled, it is closed, and no further reservations are accepted. Because of this, vendors in high-demand categories tend to secure their spots early to ensure participation.
When a vendor initiates a reservation request, an invoice is generated automatically. Reminder emails are sent every three days until the invoice is paid or canceled to ensure transparency and ample notification. We understand that this may have felt abrupt and apologize for any discomfort it caused, however, this system is necessary to avoid overbooking and maintain accounting costs at the lowest possible level to keep our vendor fees reasonable and affordable.
Yes, The park offers reliable access to power throughout the property, which is available for vendor use during the event. Restrictions do apply and there is an extra fee for power usage.
Yes, although this is a park setting, Florida Classic Park permits wet zones through proper ATF permitting. This process is well established and legally compliant, and we will be adhering to those same procedures for this event which will benefit partnering Non-Profits within the Community.
Yes, Community Markets & Events maintains comprehensive insurance coverage that exceeds the requirements set by all our host venues. Safety, professionalism, and regulatory compliance are foundational to every event we host.
